When the weather starts to warm up every year, I love to offer spring mini sessions to my clients! I decided that with the last spring sessions I offered, I wanted to make them extra special. As is often the case, I got an idea then dragged my husband into it. He’s handy and I like to ask (tell) him to help me out by building a prop. This time it was a large, wooden swing!
He built the swing then I attached some white flowers that I bought at Hobby Lobby. Honestly, it’s not okay how much money I spend at Hobby Lobby. I shot these at a local park in Newnan and had my husband come with me that morning to tie the swing to a very sturdy tree. I was a little nervous how everything was going to turn out but I have to say, I loved it!
-Spring Mini Sessions-
I started my sessions with the wooden swing photos. After shooting those for a few minutes, I moved over to a grassy area to shoot a few more candid shots of my families. In addition to the wooden swing, I also set up my peacock chair. What can I say? I’m extra. *Also, at one point in my life I was in a boho everything phase and spent more than I should have buying that peacock chair so I will take any and all chances to use it. But whatever. It’s cute.
I always like to have a variety of shots that my clients can choose from. Mini sessions are obviously shorter than a full family session but you’d be surprised how many different poses we can knock out in 15 minutes.
So these pictures are of my client, Brooke and her two daughters. I’m sorry but are they not the cutest things you’ve ever seen?! The girls were both dressed in the sweetest little yellow spring outfits and they were so much fun throughout the whole shoot!
