When it comes to photography in Newnan, GA and the surrounding areas, Starr’s Mill is an absolutely PERFECT place for to shoot. There is an old, red grist mill that’s right beside a picturesque waterfall. I mean it looks like something out of a Hallmark movie for crying out loud.

I met Stephanie and Chris through my sister, Kristen. They wanted to have a family session and get some pictures they could use for their Christmas card. We decided to do the shoot at Starr’s Mill, close to Senoia. I had never shot there before so I went early to set up and take a look around.

This family was so much fun to work with!!! I hate to generalize but on most of my family photoshoots, the mom is the one who sets everything up and basically drags the family there kicking and screaming. Let’s just say I’ve worked with many a dad who was less than thrilled with having family pictures done.

But not this time! Chris was so happy to be there and even had poses/examples saved in his phone to show me. I LOVE an enthusiastic dad! He also wanted me to take a few of Stephanie by herself so he could frame them for his office. As I was shooting her, he was off to the side snapping some pictures on his phone. It was the sweetest thing ever. Did I go home and accuse my husband of not loving me as much as Chris loves his wife? Possibly.

Their two daughters, Gabby and Gia, were so precious! They were so well behaved and sweet. And I loved getting to follow them around and catch their little personalities. I just had so much fun working with this family. As soon as I delivered their gallery, Stephanie texted me and said they can’t wait to book a spring family session with me. I can’t wait either!
